scott pilgrim: nbcu employee?

One of my co-workers, Ken, came into my office this morning, asking me one simple question: “You like Michael Cera, right?” Um, a little bit. (I obviously then showed him the picture I have of Cera from EW’s 2008 Photo Issue hanging in my office.) He then asked me if I ever called the number shown in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

Not only had I not, but I don’t even think I realized when I saw the film that the number is a 30 Rock extension! So, of course we called it, and sure enough, a voice mailbox is set up for Scott Pilgrim. or, as the automated voice says “Scott Pil-gram.”

Looks like Jon Stewart was preaching to the Universal Studios choir when he urged studios to stop using “555” numbers in film.
